First off the restaurant itself is very cute and inviting. The customer service is wonderful. All the waitresses are very sweet and friendly, and they are always so accommodating. The food is so yummy and they serve breakfast lunch and dinner all day! I love this Yellow Basket. I come here once a week from Temecula, and I'm never disappointed!
Yellow Basket is off the 215fwy off the Newport exit located on the corner of Haun Rd. & Newport Rd. by Texas Roadhouse. I stopped going here a couple of years ago because I didn't like their customer service, but I gave them another try and I'm glad I did. Staff I've encountered lately has been amazing. Food is prepared fresh and tastes great. Prices seem very reasonable these days. The restaurant is clean and organized, always decorated depending on the season.
Man I love the burgers from here and the zucchini fries are my absolute favorite! I always get the bacon avocado cheeseburger and zucchini with ranch for dipping. The texture of the zucchini is so good, it's like a cornmeal breading that makes them nice a crispy. When i can manage to stray from my favorite I love their huge pastrami sandwich also, definitely a shareable size. The menu is pretty big and they have a variety of different types of food from breakfast to Mexican to fried chicken. It's typical diner type decor inside but they have a drive thru for convenience also. The cashiers are always friendly and it's a fastraunt type situation where you order at the counter and they bring your food out to you. Man I'm craving the zucchini now.
So this was our first visit to this restaurant. It is a walk up to counter to order and they give you a number. Our cashier was nice and helpful. We ordered two breakfast omelette meals (Denver and veggie) and the colossal cheese burger (with pastrami) fries and fried zucchini. Employees bring your food to the table as it is prepared and all items were served hot and fresh. The omelettes were great. Veggies cooked perfectly and lots of cheese. The hash browns were nicely cooked (just needed a tad more salt for our liking) The colossal burger was big enough to share and was stuffed with fresh lettuce tomato and pastrami. It was cooked well and not soggy. The fries were crispy. The zucchini was cut into small strips with cornmeal (?) batter and fried. They looked like deep fried green beans. They were crispy not oily and served with ranch dressing. (Couldn't really tell they were zucchini since they were cut so small) The restaurant was clean and the bathrooms too. The employees are constantly walking around and assisting the customers at the tables. They were all very friendly and helpful. Would definitely return when visiting Menifee again.
A simple review for a simple burger and fries. Reminds me of the times I had burgers near the lake. Burger was juicy with a nice toasted bun. I don't really like the exterior of their fries. But it goes well with their ranch.
